Founded in 2013, Pennsylvania Antique Auto Appraisals, PA3 or PA Cubed if you like, is an outreach of my 25 years' experience in Appraising Antique, Classic, Collectible & Special Interest Vehicles in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania & the Mid-Atlantic region via my business ClassicGray.com. PAAA and its members act in strict accordance with the USPAP - Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice as promulgated by the APPRAISAL STANDARDS BOARD of THE APPRAISAL FOUNDATION which means acceptance by insurance companies, courts, e.g., estate, probate, divorce, charities, Museums, the SSA and IRS and also available for Expert Witness, and Negotiations.(Services provided by individual appraisers may vary) Moreover, our appraiser’s fee structures are based on a single fixed sum - never on a percentage of the appraised item’s value.
Appraising classic, collectible and antique vehicles is a very specialized field encompassing an extensive knowledge of the vast array of disciplines that go into the production and functioning of a vehicle; of course a sound grasp of the volatile market and its trends is a prerequisite. A vehicle appraisal can take several hours of on-site inspection encompassing a myriad of systems, hours of research into market values and projected appreciation (hopefully), culminating in a 8-12 page appraisal report. This is typically followed up with questions regarding title, tags, insurance, shipping and much more. A vehicle’s make-up and function is very complex, incorporating a number of disciplines including the highest level of craftsmanship in metal, leather and woodworking coupled with state-of-the-art mechanics. Vehicles even have clocks such as Benrus and on occasion Lalique crystal or Tiffany lamps! Therefore, because the methodology and procedures demanded of vehicle appraisals are completely unique, the skills of a certified vehicle appraiser is a must.
Thank you and we look forward to serving you!
